It wasn't a skill Raylan was very good at. He got the job done, but he lacked subtly. Like trying to kill someone with a sledgehammer. It was kind of hard to miss. Where his will overtook the other's, it was noticeable. But when someone like Boyd did such a thing, people so very rarely knew they'd been altered. They acted as though it were their idea all along. Or automatically blurred the edges of a hole in their memory. It was a scalpel sharp blade. People wouldn't know anything had happened until they saw the blood on their hands.
